Information you provide

MYB stores your sign-in email, name, optional biography, city or region, time zone, availability, goals, profile photo and visibility choices. Faith-related goals or biographies may reveal sensitive beliefs; share only what you choose. We also store your adult confirmation and the version and time of your member-terms acceptance.

Community activity and access

We store connections, group membership and schedules, messages, posts, replies, shared commitments, notifications, reports and moderation records to operate and protect the community. Profiles follow your visibility choices. Messages and group content follow community access controls. Authorized moderators review reported content and submitted photos. New production photo uploads await approval before other members can see them. The physical Field Guide stays yours; do not enter private journal material into shared fields.

Service providers and meetings

Supabase provides account authentication, our configured email provider delivers sign-in codes, and Render hosts the service. Cloudflare R2 stores encrypted recovery material when configured. If meetings are enabled, Daily processes meeting media and associated connection and operational data. Provider logs and diagnostics may have separate retention. Disabling recording does not mean that meeting metadata or diagnostics are absent. We do not offer meeting recording or AI transcription in this release.

Location, photos and phone alerts

MYB does not request GPS location or access your address book. A profile location is text you choose to provide. New profile photo uploads are decoded and re-encoded to remove GPS and other unnecessary metadata before storage. Copies uploaded before this safeguard are not automatically rewritten. Push notifications are disabled in the initial public iPhone profile; the app does not register an APNs token in that profile.

Purpose and advertising

We use information to provide accounts, connections, community content, optional meetings, safety, support and recovery. MYB does not sell member information or use private community content for marketing. MYB does not implement advertising tracking.

Retention, export and deletion

You can export your records and delete your account in the app, including while suspended or without accepting updated terms. Deletion ends community access and removes your profile, photo, authored content and connections from the active database; sign-in-provider cleanup retries if interrupted. The app reports pending or completed cleanup. Shared groups and content independently written or saved by others may remain. Minimal deletion history is retained to prevent deleted accounts returning from backups; deletion-status receipts expire after 30 days. Meeting revocation identifiers may remain until the meeting expires. Existing encrypted backups and provider logs are not instantly erased. We do not promise a fixed backup expiry until the operational retention policy is configured and verified.

Safety, reports and contact

Do not submit threats, hateful abuse, sexual exploitation, harassment or unlawful content. A limited automated text filter and human moderation help enforce these rules; no filter detects everything. Use Report and Block in the app. For privacy questions, access or deletion help, or safety reports, email buddy@buddyjericho.com. Do not send passwords or sign-in codes. MYB is not an emergency service.
